This course follows a reverse-course format based on Gildas Avoine’s cybersecurity MOOC. Students watch the videos before the corresponding class, and class time is used for complementary information, updates, deeper discussion, and questions.
Each class ends with a quiz on the videos. Practical exercises and lab sessions focus on complementary concepts.
Course Description
This course gives students a practical cybersecurity culture for daily professional and personal use. It focuses on understanding common attacks, recognizing information leaks, and adopting habits that reduce exposure without requiring a specialist security background.
Topics include information leakage, spam, malware, passwords, certificates, cryptography, metadata, USB-based attacks, and practical privacy/security tradeoffs.
